Dear All, Thank you for your great support, enthusiastic participation and feedback throughout the conference in Nashville. I am sure that you are very relieved and happy being back home from a long flight. You witnessed the UW 125th Celebration with over 2,000 colleagues and volunteers from across the world. Yes, we are big and small! The simple truth that we are all in this together; one’s fate is tied to the fate of others. We all benefit from improvements in quality of life both large and small. As we are continuing to explore on our journey together how we leverage and grow corporate engagement via regional initiative and existing local corporate relationships among us. UW as a broad charitable mission has transformed into a change agent focused on community impact – mobilizing the caring power of communities. You provided us the opportunity to discover and connect shared goals, opportunities, responsibilities and resources to benefit the UWs across the region. Attached is a summary of the regional conference for your information. We still have a lot of homework to do in shaping the network system stronger to address the circumstances that destabilize communities where we live and work. Please let me know if I miss out any points…. Our focus is on Education, Income and Health – the building blocks for a good quality of life. It is important to keep the focus on the collective good when communicating the goals. It would be far more effective to reinforce how a particular situation affects us all. A good education results for youth in adults who give back to their community in the future. We will continue to shape up a regional initiative: Youth Empowerment or Young Adults Success or SB 25 (name will be defined). I will share with you a template to develop your local product in a separate e-mail. Then, we will help you to fine tune it for further use. As always, thank you for your support.
