Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths en wrought with golden and silver light,
내게 금빛과 은빛으로 만든 하늘의 수 놓여진 천이 있다면,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths of night and light and the half-light,
밤과 낮과 황혼으로 물들인 파랗고 어둑한 검은 천이 있다면,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
그 천을 그대 발밑에 깔아드리겠어요

but I, being poor, have only my dreams
하지만  나는, 가난하여 가진 것이 꿈 뿐이랍니다
I have spread my dreams under your feet
내 꿈을 그대 발 밑에 깔았어요
Tread softly because you tread on my dream.
